Our Story
Claire set up Bricks & Mortimer in January 2017 to combine her expertise in fabulous customer service and passion for beautiful interiors, to private clients in and around London and the surrounding areas, or remotely through our e-design package.
She works with a select number of clients on one room projects, through to full house renovations and anything in between. With a friendly down to earth approach she offers a truly personal service, taking the time to get to know each client, their family and lifestyle needs. Smoothing your renovation journey from start to finish, ensuring each stage is a exciting and stress free as possible, reducing the chance of costly errors and leaving you with a home that is every bit as beautiful as it is functional.
As part of an Interior Design package or as a one off service, she also specialise in creating bespoke handmade curtains and blinds. Whether you need a simple Roman Blind or help with a tricky bay window, we can assist with every step of the process.

Claire Mortimer-Givens
Company founder Claire Mortimer-Givens worked for 8 years in the super yacht industry, bobbing around at sea on some of the world’s most glamorous boats. She was immersed in stunning interiors and idyllic scenery.
Eventually her sea legs became jaded and she decided to head home to England to retrain as an interior designer - qualifying with distinction from prestigious KLC School of Design in London.
After several years working for an established design house, she set-up on her own launching Bricks & Mortimer - offering expertise in designing and creating beautiful handmade curtains, blinds and cushions, as well as upholstery and a complete interior design service.
